In the second half when Drumgoon got back to within a point, but the Bridge team kick on and scored 1 goal & 4 points to no score. Well done to management & players as they are now on the verge of qualifying for the quarter finals with 2 games left to go yet.

Packie Connolly R.I.P.

Our club president Packie Connolly passed away on Saturday afternoon last followed a short illness. Packie was a loyal servant and his hard work and dedication was very much appreciated by the club. Although he didn’t play much senior football he was always willing to help out. He had a collection of vintage tractors and machinery and also showed them off proudly at any outdoor club functions. He also loved playing cards and was a regular player on a Tuesday night or any other occasion. In latter years he enjoyed playing golf with his many friends from the community. Packie was the last surviving member of his family and we offer our deepest sympathies to his extended family. The club held a guard of honor at his removal and he was laid to rest in the local graveyard following his funeral mass on Monday last. Ar dheis De go raibh a anameac
